After several attempts, I made it very easy with following strategy:
Crawler (lv3) - Shield (lv3) - Crawler (lvl3) - Crawler (lvl3) - Support (lvl3) - Support (lvl3)
I started out with a Crawler lvl2 and then lvl1 then build a Shield lvl3. I build the support at last, when it got tough. Be sure to collect the carucamen and destroy as much towers as possible, if you have the time, take extra roads - the carucamen replenish sometime, if you destroy them, so it's much needed extra money.
Here is the strategy for wave 14+, where it gets tough - build a long road for your troops, so they arrive at about 3.30 minutes at the core. In the meantime, go in by yourself and take those Replenisher first and then Hacker turrets out with your bomb skill. Your support tanks now create enough bomb skill to use and destroy those turrets. The rest your crawler can handle without much trouble, as long as you use the decoy skill and healing, which you should have more than enough of.
I lost two lvl3 crawlers at waves 15 and 16, where I didn't pay enough attention - but I had enough money by then to simply buy new lvl3 crawlers.
