You'll get this achievement by defeating the Hydra head at the end of Chapter 2: Battle of Luoyang.
The primary objective at the beginning of the scenario is to keep the following three people/things intact: Taigong Wang, Shuten Doji, and the Yashio'ori (giant spirit laser cannon). Several units will advance on each, but if you get to them within a reasonable amount of time, there should be no danger of failing. The people can defend themselves for a while, and the Yashio'ori is pretty durable against the enemy infantry.
Eventually, you'll get a message saying "The preparations for the Yashio'ori are complete!" Any time after this, you'll have the ability to hop into the Yashio'ori and open fire on the Hydra head.
Weaken the head by shooting it with standard fire, and when it's stunned, fire the laser at the head. Remember to lead your shots, let the standard gunfire cool before it overheats, and above all, remember that if the Hydra manages to get a shot off, you can still shoot the fireball out of the air before it hits the Yashio'ori. Once the Hydra head is shot down, you'll unlock the achievement.
Don't get too comfy yet, though. Before the mission ends, you'll have to deal with Keiji Maeda and Orochi. Knock out Orochi to end the mission. |
