EDIT: SatNiteEduardo points out that Xbox Live Friends who have played Wordement are automatically added to your Frenemy list and can't be removed. When I first wrote this guide, none of my Live Friends had played Wordament yet. However, this guide should still work if you just play at a time when none of your other Friends are playing. Alternatively, you could remove your Friend(s) and add them later. When I earned this Achievement, I had many Live Friends, and they did show up in my Frenemies Following list, but none of them had played Wordament yet.
This is very simple. Make sure to play when none of your Xbox Live friends are playing and remove other Frenemies from your Frenemy list.
Play one full* round and then tap the name of a player close to your ranking (choose a lower ranked player to make it easy). This will add them to your Frenemies list. Play more rounds until you beat that Frenemy. The Achievement will pop once you see the end-of-round leaderboard. You can then remove the Frenemy by tapping his/her name again.
*If you only play a partial round, you will likely be ranked lower, along with other players who also started mid-round. The players around your rank will likely all have much better scores on the next round. In order to make sure you add a Frenemy that is near or below your skill level, make sure to choose a Frenemy after you have been ranked for a full round of play.
If you are not very good at Wordament, then it is possible that you will be ranked low, and some of the people close to your rank are actually much better players, but they have only played a partial round. If you select one of them as your Frenemy, it's just bad luck. Just remove that Frenemy and add another one and try again. |

It looks like this achievement apply's to the frenemies that are playing when you are.
Simply start up a game, and get a low score.
Once the round is over and the leaderboard pops up select someone near the bottom of the list (I would suggest not to select anyone with 0 points as they may have joined just as the last round finished)
Then simply play rounds until the achievements pops.
If you find you can't beat them select them on the list again to remove them and then select someone else. |
