The count is number of *full games* you have played. Where full games means 2mins long.
That means the chances are very good that when you launch the game the first round is less than 2mins long. This round does not count. The secret is to play in long stretches so you get many back-to-back 2min games.
You can check progress by clickng on 'Leaderboards' on the opening screen, and then clicking 'Me' - 'Full games completed' is what you need to keep track of. |

This will come through natural progression. It does seem a bit off on the count though, as my stats showed me at 103 games played, and 99 full games completed when it unlocked for me. If you don't get it at exactly 100, just play a couple more. I also played a mix of both Spanish and English games, they all counted.
Each game takes 2:00, then 45 seconds for leaderboard info before the next game starts. If you play straight through, it will take a little over 4.5 hours to get 100 games in. |

WP VERSION
*CONFIRMED* You have to at least get one word in for the match to count toward the 100 total. You can tell this by watching the counter on the main page where it says "Full games completed".
If you play a game without entering a word, the counter will not go up, so there has been an update assuring that you have to play at least one word for the match to count.
*UPDATE* Your Gamertag is linked over all games (i.e Web, Win 8, WP and IOS) so if you are playing on the XBox Live site and on your phone, it logs a TOTAL of all completed games. When I finished the 100th game (linked to my Gamertag across both the web version and the iOS version) i was on my phone. The achievement popped. I then logged onto the web version and played one more game and the achievement poppped. So 101 games total on the same gamertag to get the cheevo for both versions. Then play an additional game on each version to unlock across all platforms. |
