Bionic Family achievement guide
There are 3 ways of earning this achievement:
1. Playing online
You could just play the game and hope that the other team won’t be using a character that is on your team. The thing is, people tend to quit when they’re about to lose, and sometimes other players with the same character get tossed in the game just at the end of the match.
2. The buggy way with 1 friend
You could try using this method before attempting the others. I know that this works because it did for me.
Have a friend who either has the full game, or the TRIAL of Awesomenauts. Yes, this works using the Trial. Select private match from the main menu and invite your friend. Make sure that he is on the opposing team.
Now you and your friend both select a different character. I was using Derpl and my friend was using Froggy G. The AI’s might use the same character but apparently that doesn’t matter. Finish the match, and the achievement might unlock.
This will also net you the ‘Let our powers combine!’ achievement.

3. Private match with 3 friends
When number 2 doesn’t work for you, I recommend doing the following. This solution requires you, or one of your friends to be at least level 15 (To select Derpl).
Select private match from the main menu and either have 2 friends splitscreen (which will net you the ‘Party at Sky Vault’ achievement as well) or 2 friends over XBL – on the same team versus Bots.
The AI’s always play as Clunk, Froggy G, Lonestar and Leon so don’t select any of those. My personal favourite combo is Yuri, Voltar and Derpl ‘Mr Zork’.
A full guide for this isn’t necessarily so I’ll point out the general information.
Derpl is the power unit, used to destroy turrets. Make sure to get the Turret and Gridtrap/Nuke upgrades. Focus on upgrading the Turret (Sniper Bullets – Range, Force Field –Damage absorbing shield, Hollow point bullets –Increased damage). Ignore everything about Gridtrap but upgrade the damage and explosion size of the Nuke. A Nuke can be fired when in Turret mode.
Voltar is the healing unit, used to heal the power unit. Buy the Drone upgrade to defend yourself, but mainly focus on upgrading your Healbot and Healingwave.
Yuri is the support unit, used for additional healing and to kill enemy drones/awesomenauts. Ignore mines completely. Focus on upgrading the longevity of Time Warp and buy the Regeneration pod or the Pod Pack Deluxe to get the Healing upgrade. Increase the damage and range of the yellow Laserbeam as well.
I highly recommend selecting ‘Dreams of Greed’ for additional solar in the last row for each character.
When your drones approach a Turret, have Derpl go in Turret mode behind the drones and fire Nukes when you can. Voltar makes sure that your drones and Derpl get healed using the Healing wave and the Healbot. Yuri destroys any drones in your way and uses his health Time Warp as often as possible. This can net you a win in under 10 minutes and the achievement will pop.
