I took a different approach to grinding the kills for this achievement. It's pretty straight forward and requires little to no effort on your part which makes the grinding less painful, here's the method.:
Play to wave 9 without failing. Upon reaching wave nine without failing you will have an airstrike at your disposal. Skip the countdown to save time, as soon as the enemies spawn call in the airstrike, you will get a minimum of 5 kills and as many as 7. Grenade yourself and reload. You'll average 300 kills an hour.
I got the achievement in just shy of 2 hrs doing it this way (the only other kills I had before this were the ones I got playing through wave 50)
Hope this helps make this less annoying. |

There are 2 ways to do this:
1. If you have done your wave 1-50 simply load wave 50 and wait in the HQ for the guys to come in. Keep killing them as they come to you but watch out for the gun trucks if possible. If you die simply select restart from that wave and continue. ALL kills are logged even if you die and don't complete the wave. I didn't bother picking up weapons or nades as its mostly invisible guys who can be easily killed using melee attacks (x).
2. Keep replaying wave 1-5 and restart. This takes a lot longer than #1 but if you have not completed all 50 waves yet , this is your only option.
I don't recommend doing the 1000 kills on co-op as it takes longer since several people are fighting over the kills. Good Luck ! |

Tip: This is not a solution but rather a tip on a certain map. If you were as bad as me and struggled to reach wave 9 without dying as the awesome solution by Maximus D, I thought to give Red Cooley solution a go. So I had the map "office" wave 50 unlocked. Basically what I done, I got the ACR, and camped in the HQ. Enemies were rushing the the HQ and I was meleeing them down/shooting them. I was killing around 25-35 in less than 5 minutes, and it was relatively easy in recruit difficulty.

This solution is for people who are having a hard time making it to wave 9 without failing or dying.
Step 1: Complete all 50 Waves
I strongly suggest getting the Quality Beasts Quantity achievement. This achievement requires you to beat all 50 waves. You will get most of your kills going for this achievement. Get a few people together it will make it a lot easier. Shanty town and Mansion are good choices.
Mission: Office
Difficulty: Recruit
Equipment: Claymores Motion Sensors and Ammo between rounds.
Start off playing the levels as normal. Attempt to get to wave 9 without failing. However if you do not get to wave 9 the kills that you gained will count. Plant a claymore at each entrance into the HQ. Then throw a motion sensor to both ends of the entrance to the HQ.
Play until wave 9. There are a total of 22 enemy to kill in wave 9. When the shields enter the zone just get close to them an melee kill them by pressing the X Button when prompted. The motion sensors will let you know where people are and will help you to kill them behind cover.
Once you kill off 21 of the 22 guys let the last one kill you and repeat the process until the achievement pops. This will take longer then the other solution, but this is for people who want the achievement and find it hard to make it to wave 9 without failing. |
