This achievement is not so easy since the AI is very aggressive. I would recommend to set the difficulty to easy in options before trying this. I did this on the elimination race of the second tier (Allstar, 6th event, Michigan), but other ones may work too. I didn't like the first one in Pro series (Miami), because it has a nasty U-turn at the beginning which does not make things easier.
The car of choice I'd recommend is the Lombardi (can be bought early in tier 4 for 75 000$), because it is the fastest car and already fully upgraded.
Use all your nitro during the beginning phase to have a chance . Most likely you will need some attempts to make it as it's really a close thing. Once you made to be first at the end of the first elimination round, you have to take care that you don't mess it up. Especially be aware that the cars out of the race will be standing somewhere on the track as obstacles. With the fast Lombardi you should make it as long as you don't crash.
