In Hard Target events the AI cars try to wreck you, more AI is added as time passes but you start with 4 to watch out for, you need to stay alive for at least 2minutes.
You'll want to use a strong car for this, i personally used Kohler G350 as its very strong and fast.
I used the event in Spy+ PRO - San Fransisco Hard Target and just drove around in circles watching my side for the AI and boosting when necessary.
