You still need to be quick and skillful but this solution gives you some breathing room

Choose Classic and Beginner making sure this is a New game otherwise you will not get this..to be sure do not choose Continue

Now you need to be quick, as soon as the tiles have all dropped press and hold the back button of the phone. This will show you a paused state of the screen. Work out the best 3 routes there are and then click on the game and Resume Game.

Quickly make your 3 paths and pop! Achievement gained
