This achievement is easily done when you learn how to use your Skinchanger ability. In chapter 3 as Mors, after Qhorin rescues you, you are tasked to find a missing recruit Poddy. To use your skinchanger ability press X and you will see the world through the eyes of your dog. While following Poddy's trail (which when selected appears as yellow traces on the ground) you will come across blue scents, first while you follow him through the Icemark fort, and later in the forest.
A blue trail indicates an "Exploration Trail" which will lead your dog to hidden loot. When you get to the end of a blue trail, you will be prompted to press the A button. The dog will bark and mark the hiding place for Mors, which will be then able to recover the loot.
If you keep your eyes peeled, you will have a chance to find loot with your hound the required amount of times before returning to Castle Black. Two pieces of hidden loot are part of a side quest you will be able to pick up in the forest- while in dog form you will come across some men around a fire that are talking about some equipment they hid in the forest. The conversation will give you hints about the location of the loot. I found another piece of hidden loot just before leaving the fort, and the rest is scattered around the forest. |
