To block/deflect attacks, you hold your arms up above your head in an arc with your hands touching. Like a ballerina doing a pirouette but, you know, ninjarier.

To successfully deflect an incoming projectile, you must engage the block just before the projectile hits you. Too early and it will count as a block and the projectile won't deflect. Too late and you'll get a faceful of pain.

You can deflect arrows, rocks and the homing glowey ball things that different enemies send your way. You cannot deflect projectiles that are on fire, so don't bother. Just avoid these by side stepping.

Theoretically you could miss this one if you only deflect the homing magic balls and just avoid the other projectiles. So if you reach the end game and don't have it, simply replay levels in the final world and deflect, deflect, deflect.

Replaying levels this way will also help you on your way to:

Edit: Srfsmurf says - "I would say level 20 is best for this" - so if you want to grind out those last few deflects, head over to level 20.
