i started off by purchasing all the free items, like Bare Back, but i am not sure if any of those count. also i had an issue where all the items i purchased except my current equipped items were lost. you can do this one of two ways: #1 over the course of playing you can gradually purchase improved armor, or #2 you can save up some monies and purchase cheap items like:
-Slasher T-Shirt $800
-Slasher Pants $600
-Man-Danna $50
-FlatTop $50
-Dreadknots $600
-Energy Braids $600
-El Muerte Mask 3 bucks
-El Muerte Armor 3 bucks
-El Muerte Pants 2 bucks
-Recon Pants $500
-Recon Mask $700
-Recon Helmet $600
-Infantry Pants $500
-Infantry Vest $700
-Infantry Helmet $600
-Mullito Fur $3000
-T-shirt $50
-Combat Beret $50
-Combat Helmet $50
-Officer's Hat $50
