  The Peppermill Crank Gun (My favorite weapon) is dropped by the Motorized Patriot (Mechanical George Washington). Once you fight him just grab his gun and kill 30 enemies. Not too far after you get the first one you actually run into a big group of enemies. Once you see the auto save, just kill as many enemies with this gun as you can, then reload checkpoint. This will unlock in no time.
  
  If you want to go back and get this, its on chapter 8 (Hall of Heroes Gift shop). You do not need to kill him again, go to where you killed him and his Crank gun will be on the ground.

  Awesome I can confirm this works! Thanks for the guide! I just killed about 6 of them when I went outside after getting the Crank Gun where Slate is. There was a group of eniemes out there and kept killing the 6 because I would run out of ammo. I know I could buy more but I'm going for the achievement not to while on 1999 mode. But the reload checkpoint comes right after you Elizabeth picklocks the room after fighting Mechanical George who has the Crank Gun.

  Yes! Its very simple, and definitely the fastest, since its right after you get your first Crank Gun.

  I also got the Tear achievement it took awhile but I farmed that there too. So easy also farmed couple other things there. Might as well since I don't know when I'll get a better check point to do it. But thank you worked perfect good thing I was at this spot xD

  Yea... Definitely the fastest ways of getting the achievements, but some like the Tear achievement you will get just by playing the game, you may be getting the sooner then you would just going for them regularly, but at least it is a relief off the mind while playing. Once you have all the killing achievements done and start going through 1999 mode, all you have to worry about is surviving.

  This works, but I'm not sure that "Command Deck" isn't a better area if you really need to grind out some kills.

  *** Spoiler - click to reveal ***After the first couple waves of enemies - fewer than you have to wade through before a Patriot shows against Slate - a pair of Patriots will come out. The beauty of this area is that you can kill the Patriots with the Songbird quickly and painlessly, and there are enough enemies wandering around begging to be killed that grinding out your remaining kills is painless.

  This is the SOONEST and FASTEST way to get this achievement, this really does not take that long to get if you save any time, you save like 1 minute, but you have to get to the end of the game..... Some people just want achievements out of the way... This is the SOONEST.

  Crank Gun can also be brought in through a tear against a wall in The Bull House Impound go straight through the first door & it's on your first right.

  Actually, I agree with @The Nerds Club on this one.
  
  Load "The Bull House Impound" chapter, go straight forward through the first red doors, then to your right there's a Tear you can open which has a Crank Gun and immediately after that there's a battle with roughly 10 soldiers.
  
  Kill them all (a Patriot will appear after killing all the soldiers but killing it is completely optional since you won't even have enough bullets for it anyway), then restart the checkpoint and repeat the process two/three more times.
  
  Easy.
