The Snow Temple
This level is very unforgiving and replenishing your health is hard. Your Walrus is also attacked more. Furthermore, this level introduces a never before seen enemy – an Ice Dragon.
Start out by moving quickly up the wall. Use Flex twice to get to the platform at the side of the cliff. Here you can eliminate the Dragon and two Cannon Trolls. Continue until you get to the Walrus.
Three Armored Trolls will attempt to thwart you from freeing the Walrus. Be careful not to let them harm the Walrus. Lure them away from it and use Snare to grab them and throw them off the edge. Do not free the Walrus just yet.
Head up to where the Archer Trolls appear and free the Walrus from there and quickly morph into Major Ruin. When the Archer Trolls appear, knock them over with Major Ruin and head back down and protect the Walrus. When the bridge is lowered, a mild attack commences with an Ice Dragon and a Cannon Troll.
Eliminate his attackers quickly and prepare for the pesky bugs. Use Thermite’s lava bombs and Deep Blue to dispense of them. Once the Walrus makes it to safety you can stick around for the fireworks or move on. Rummage around in the boxes for health before climbing the ice wall. Head up and eliminate any trolls along the way and enter the next area.
You will be greeted by three Ice Trolls and a Glass-Jaw Troll. Kill them and move on or wait for the Troll spawn. Use Major Ruin to make it pass the falling snowballs. As you continue forward, keep an eye out for the pesky Cannon Troll on the other side as he can damage your health. You’re better off getting rid of him. Proceed to the second Walrus.
Eliminate the surrounding trolls and the single Elemental Ice Troll before freeing him and prepare for a barrage of Roll Trolls. Deep Blue and Major Ruin are the warriors of choice here. The key here is to protect the Walrus’s health for when he attempts to cross the bridge. Your best option is to hide in a cove. They will seek you and as they get close, push them away with Deep Blue. Doing otherwise can be detrimental to you and the Walrus as this will cause the two trolls above to shoot more Roll Trolls and quite often they hit you or the Walrus. Your job is here is to be a decoy.
When the bridge is down, an onslaught commences. Protect the Walrus from the three Ice Dragons and two Cannon Trolls. This can be very challenging so act with haste and don’t admire the scenery. It helps to know where your enemies are and you should therefore, position yourself according. Look out for that Cannon Troll up high on the right. When the Walrus arrives safely on the other side you can move on.
Head to the left and do some more climbing. At the top you will be welcomed by a Glass-Jaw Troll and two Elemental Ice Trolls. Eliminate them and exit to battle Queen Thyra. Defeat her to unlock the achievement. |

You could do all this... and i did!!! so i know how hard some of these are..
BUT there is a much much much easier way.
Basically go into your solo game and make your way to the throne room, go to the magic mirror and select Thorns Airship. Your aim in this level is to purely get over 3 million and finish the level.
If you have beaten this level and got the 'a' ranking achievement this should be easy... If you need a guide to refresh your memory go to this site http://www.dmbledore.com/Kameo/ARanking/6AirshipA.htm this also has a video to help beat Thorn at the end, although to be honest eye of strength and themites bomb attack = easy win.
Once you do this you will unlock both the invincibility cheat and the ''one hit kill cheat''. Put these on and cruise to victory in all the levels. With this on most of the levels take about 10 minutes. Having this on disables score for the level BUT ACTIVATING THE CHEATS DOES NOT BLOCK GETTING THE ACHIEVEMENTS!!!
A few things to note- firstly the cheat will only be unlocked on that save file. Secondly on snow temple make sure you remove the one hit kill cheat as the walrus counts as a one hit kill for your enemies!!!
Really hope this helps someone as it helped me finally beat thorns airship, to anyone who has got that without this cheat i salute you as that level - particularly the thorn boss battle must be controller destroyingly impossible! |
