"Time is of the essence"

Quick Solution:
The game is divided into six stages/sections. Each stage needs to be completed in less than 4 minutes or you have to repeat that section from the beginning. You get a bonus if you complete the stage in a certain time. Aim to get under 2:30 in the first area to get Onus on the Bonus (see R3n3g4de's solution).

1. There is no achievement except for finishing, so keep pushing forward as much as possible. This will get you to a further checkpoint should you die. And you will die... a lot. Set your default to EASY in the Options to make life easier on the road.
2. STAY IN THE CAR MOST OF THE TIME. You can get out of the car by pressing one of several different buttons (there is only one for firing and one for escape/get out of car), but only do this when the car is on fire to avoid death and scramble to the next checkpoint.
3. When on foot, you die in one hit from anything and only have a repeater rifle. It takes a while for a new car to be delivered. There are a few occasions where it is easier to get out and run/roll past stuff. When on foot, use the roll feature (same button as getting out) and just try to push forward to the next checkpoint or get to your new car.
4. Each death costs you 5 seconds and puts you back at the last checkpoint. Sometimes it is worth it to go slow (areas where there are instant kills all around), other times it is best to just keep driving until you die.
5. Instant kills if you touch them - Water. boulders, cannons, bombs, explosive boxes, spiky cars/ bulldozers, small gray land mines (Stage 4)
6. You can "free Hostages" in the buildings with "HELP" flashing by running it over or shooting it. They always have the same loot, which is a powerup for your car, health, or 2000 points, but the only useful one is the rocket. It will be a white rocket/pipe looking thing for level one and a red one for level two. Each one makes your car fire faster. You lose these powerups whenever your car gets destroyed.

Stage 1 – Peace Village
This is full of basic cars, trucks, and shooting thugs. Cars can shoot at you, but mainly bounce you around into stuff and get in your way. Trucks let out guys to shoot you and hurt you when you bounce into them. The big green trucks can be destroyed, but take many shots. Practice this stage to get through quickly and get the Onus on the Bonus achievement.
Stage 2 – Rock Valley
Introduction to indestructible rocks and stronger enemies, as well as explosive boxes and bomb boxes.
Stage 3 – Stone Hill
Conveyor belts are introduced here. Once again, the rocks on them are indestructible and must be avoided. There are also land mines or small rocks (I can’t tell) as you are driving around that are also instant deaths when touched and need to be avoided.
Stage 4 – Armed Port
The main concern here is the big green trucks. They will move in your way, but you can shoot them to destroy them. You can also circle around them but it takes as much time as destroying them. They always shoot out three bullets and you can line up vertically to able to shoot them without being hit. It may take time, but it is better than getting destroyed trying to avoid them all.
Stage 5 – Develop Zone
Here is where the spiky cars come in. They can only move in certain planes, so there is always a way to avoid them. They cannot be killed and take you out on contact. Take your time and find the pathway around them. Progress is key, so just push through and try to get to checkpoints.
Stage 6 – Zap Town
As expected, this stage has everything in it. Purple cars will attack. There are stationary guns, trucks, and green trucks, mixed with cannons, rock conveyor belts, etc. I recommend just pushing hard through everything to get to the end and only kill what gets in your way. The final bridge will come down and you have to take out the final boss. FYI, the timer continues to run during the battle. Fire at him straight on until he comes out completely. When he moves to the right, drive up to the upper left section. Stay in the upper left section, turn twoards the boss and shoot diagonally down to the right at him until he’s done. YOU DO NOT NEED TO MOVE and it does not take long to finish him off. If he does kill you, simply drive back up there and try again as no enemies spawn. Do not get out of the car! as hawk syn says it will give you an error message.

When you finish the game, in typical arcade fashion, there is a huge party and the game starts over at the beginning of Stage 1, but your 5G achievement also pops.
