There is a simple alternative to spending 1600 MS Points on the whole Metallica pack (or any DLC pack for that matter) just to get the one song for this achievement. You can play One with both players on Expert (most likely can be done with 1 on Expert and the other on Hard).

    TIPS:
    1) Try to keep a good, long streak going before the alternate-strumming part. If you have around 400,000 points by the time the alt-strumming starts, you're in very good shape.
    2) Use Star Power as often as possible, and try to use it as soon as you get it. Having full SP for the alt-strumming part will net you a lot of points. If the lead guitarist thinks they'll have trouble with the triplets solo, then save SP for it. (No point in failing with a minute and a half left.)
    3) Watch your score throughout the song. If you can't keep a good streak going during the end solo, then try to have a score of somewhere around 550,000 once the alt-strumming part ends.

**NOTE** This is very important to know, me and Aerodynamo found this out the hard way. If you're playing online, only the HOST will get the achievement. So if both players are trying to get this, you'll have to have 1 person host, get the achievement, switch hosts, and do it again.

KamhiX96I actually don't know if being lead or bass guitar has any effect on getting the achievement.

RossticusThis achievement has to be one of the most tedious for such "little" effort. I've successfully scored over 700k on 'Cherub Rock' three times, yet no achievement has unlocked.

I'm giving credits to all the guys who've written solutions before me but I have there's actually an easier way, easier than the previous methods mentioned above.

Two expert players might be difficult to find for some people, but this actually could be gotten by two players on hard playing "One".

or more easier, one expert player and one on hard playing ""avalanche", the first song on the blue setlist.

I haven't tried this one out but I guess it could also be gotten if one player on hard and the second one on Medium playing the legendary "TTFAF", I haven't tried this personally but I strongly believe it could happen this way if both players kept their streaks and used as many star power as possible :)

However, if non of the mentioned previously method worked before, send me an invite on XBL and we'll get it provided that you play well, at least on Medium :)

This isn't really the best way, or easiest way, but the funnest way IMO. Dragonforce Trackpack would be required. Revolution Deathsquad on Expert. I can almost score 500k on my own, but for those of us that aren't gods, you can still hit 700k with two average players.

Save star power for the sections that you can keep a multiplyer, or sections with alot of notes you can hit, like alternate strumming sections, but can't keep a combo from over strumming/not enough strumming.

This is also a great song to get 1k - 2k streak on if you play it on Medium
