How to unlock the Hmmmmm achievement

Head to the Lair of Infinite Agony and you can find a mission called 'The Amulet'. This is given to you by an NPC known as Mr. Miz. There are reports of Mr. Miz not being in the Lair* (though for me he appeared the first time entering just after beating this DLC story and before the Raid Boss). Just exit and re-enter the area and he may spawn. If you see a yellow exclamation point, check it out.
Players have reported seeing him before finishing the story, so once you come across this area it can be done at any time.

Accept the mission and you'll have the option to buy the amulet or punch him. You must have at bare minimum 125k cash to buy it in Normal mode. TVHM the cost is around 850k. If you're on UVHM it will cost you anywhere from 3.3 million to 13 million (at level 72). Overall if you are wealthy you will be fine. After you buy the amulet the achievement will unlock once you equip it.

    If you punch him,

Alternatively, if you accidently punch him or are short on cash, you can get the amulet from a friend by trade/drop. Just make sure you're the required level to wield it.

*According to the Borderlands Wiki, Mr. Miz is confirmed to be a random spawning NPC.

-Credit to Helmaroc for the cost of the amulet in True Vault Hunter Mode and the dashboarding technique.
-Credit to spacedvest2 for the trade method.

local bellboyGot this pretty quick by exiting the game via Save & Quit. To clarify exactly what I did - I traveled to Lair of Infinite Agony, did not see Mr. Miz's quest marker, exited the game and restarted in Lair of Infinite Agony. I did not travel to another area, just quit the game. On the 3rd try, he was there. Amulet was $124,944, purchase, equip, achievement unlocked.

Thanks for the guide, great info here toast

Ess IHalesMessage Burburnator88 if you're struggling to find Mr. Miz.
He had no problems dropping the amulet and letting me equip to get the achievement.

Just to save you some time: It is not neccesary to teleport to Sanctuary or elswhere, just log out and back in again right in the Lair of Infinite Agony and the yellow "!" will appear on your map eventually.
It took me 4 reloads to get it. And like stated above: No need to finish the game first, i did it on my first visit to the lair on that playthrough.

MAV3R1KWorked for me. Didn't need to change zones, or quit to dash or rage quit, kick the xbox or the dog. Just keep exiting to game lobby and come back. Random is random...

He does spawn in Lair of Infinite Agony and it does not matter if you finished the DLC or not. His spawn is totally random.
Sometimes Mr. Wiz does not spawn to do that you need to go to Sanctuary (guess any other zone works aswell) then quit the game. Start it and teleport to Lair of Infinite Agony.

After you look at the video you'll see where you are going, if there is no yello "!" on that spot, simply redo the whole process till it spawns. Amulets costs around 125k $, can be dropped for friends so they can obtain the achievement aswell.

xGamBeaTxyou can't, all you can do is have someone trade you amulet or start the game on other diffuculty/character and play through the DLC

Another point of note: if you have a friend that has this already, have them drop it for you. You pick it up and equip it, and BOOM - Achievement.

(be nice and give it back, though)

Just wanted to help anyone else that might have had the same thing happen with this achievement during a CO-OP playthrough:

If, during a Co-Op playthough, someone purchases the amulet (and DOES NOT PUNCH) Mr. Miz, turns in the achievement but will not drop the amulet, you can STILL get Mr. Miz to reappear in the same location.

Simply save and quit, and reload at the Lair of Infinite Agony. If Mr. Miz does not appear in the location, save and quit until he does. He will be a vendor that you can purchase the amulet from. Of course, it's easier for the person to drop the amulet and allow the other co-op players to equip it. This solution is just in case they will not drop it.

Not sure if this helps but I found this quest / achievement whist still going through the DLC for the first time, before I'd even found the queen.
There might not be a requirement to beat the Raid Boss or even complete the DLC story prior to gaining this achievement.

Edit* If you leave a negative vote, please let me know why
