The best way I found to acquire this achievement is to load up either evolved or the classic version (personally I choose evolved) and destroy all but 1 of the large asteroids in the first wave.

Now as long as you destroyed all of the spaceships that appeared during this time, it should be just a matter of avoiding the large asteroid and shooting the continuous stream of space ships that appear. (Note: Sometime it will be a small space ship, therefore I would advice to always be moving while your waiting for the ships to respawn)
