How to unlock the Life of Excess achievement

    General tip: Save and quit each time instead of pressing the home button when you're done playing, so the game will actually check if it's connected properly when you return.

    Not quite sure which level this unlocks at, but I bought it at level 9. Costs 19 LP. Don't buy the 29 LP upgraded version; it won't work.

    Find an empty lot then scroll far right until you see Pro Skater's Dream Pad. After the building is finished, make sure you are connected to the servers properly by checking the leaderboards in the menu, then either create a new Sim or move one into the dream pad, and the achievement should pop.

    Other requirements that we previously thought mattered, but don't actually seem to are: 1) creating a new Sim instead of moving one in; 2) Sim should be sporty; 3) standard lot vs premium lot; 4) gender; 5) using LP to finish the building

    I personally unlocked this achievement by building on a standard lot, using LP to quick finish, and creating a new sporty girl Sim within, and I got the achievement on my first try. However, general consensus from the comments below, especially the comment by xxB3averHunterx indicates that none of these other factors matter besides being online when any type of Sim somehow ends up in the dream pad:

    "I finally got it to pop this morning. Bought my 3rd skater house and double checked the leaderboard just before creating a non-sporty Sim and moving him in. It popped right after I moved him in."

    Solution update for the 2015 game version release.

    This is actually much more simple than it seems. All you need is 26 LP and no current building in construction.

    Choose any empty slot and buy the Skater's Dream Pad for the 26 LP. (Note: If you build it in a beach/coast side residence, just like all other houses it will be considerably more expensive so make sure you are choosing the slot you want).

    As soon as the The Skater's Dream Pad house finishes building the achievement will pop before you even have time to put a Sim but when and if you do so, you can rest assured that there is absolutely no requirement to put any Sim in the house at all.
    You don't need to move or create any Sim to reside in the building to unlock the achievement.

    Note on requirements for moving Sims (I found this can be tricky to figure out at first so I decided to add this, hope it's any use);
    The only requirements for moving existing individual Sims or family/household into any empty house are:
    1) having 5,000 Simoleans which is the cost of switching home;
    2) if moving 1 Sim, the Sim in question must be available so he can't be doing any task and if completed one be sure you have collected the XP or it counts as if the Sim is still busy;
    3) if you are moving 2 or more Sims, the logic is the same, you can't separate the family/household so ALL of those Sims must be free in order to be reallocated.

    Hope this is useful.
