To reach 300K points in Co-op both players need to complete level 2 at least.
Obviously practice and communication are keys here, but i lost my co op partner to the boss on level 2 and still unlocked the achievement at the beginning of Level 3. He didnt because he was dead! lol!
So as the achievement says you need to be alive, besides the obvious tips of picking up Rockets and Spread Guns. Just try to concentrate on YOUR character positions, sometimes its a little bit too easy to start trying to watch what your partner is doing as well as shoot your own targets.
