Hyper mode is an extremely quick version of Bejeweled's Action mode, the player is required to earn a sizable amount of points in a suitably small amount of time.

The "fill up" bar serves to both track your score and act as a timer. The result being that overly cautious play will result in a time out, whereas overly ambitious play can often ruin some potentially helpful cascades.

Hyper mode differs from Action mode (and all other bejeweled 2 modes) in a rather crucial way, and it is this difference that makes the mode much more possible than people give it credit for.

Namely... In action mode you do not need to to have a chain reaction of gems for it to count as a cascade, if you are very quick you can be ready to take your next move as the other gems are falling into place, If you complete your next move within a very short time frame it will count as a cascade in the previous move... Whilst this may not sound overly helpful, remember that every cascade doubles the points awarded for those gems...

e.g. 100 > 200 > 400 > 800 > 1600 > 3200

My Other Advice...

This is pretty much the same tips i mentioned for action mode, some people may like them some people may not. I hope they helpat least some of you...

Keep playing, even if you think you're about to lose... All it takes is one good cascade and you're right back in there...

End the level as quickly as possible. If you take too long to complete a level it becomes less and less likely that you'll able to as the timer bar will decrease in an ever more rapid fashion... Having said that, don't forget the tip above.

Play with other people, my friends are very good at spotting moves further away from the TV, they shout directions and colours at me if it looks like i'm slowing down...

Start at the bottom of the grid, obviously this causes potentially larger cascades...

Film yourself with a digital camera, pause the game if you get stuck, and play the footage back to yourself... This can great for forward planning large cascades or hyper cubes.

Even if you do all of those things, you'll still need a lot of luck. You will probably do everything right any number of times but if the gems don't fall well for you, you'll never get past those higher levels... So best of luck from me...

I hope some of that was helpful to a few people... I'm open to suggestions if people want to leave a comment... I'll gladly incorporate your ideas and your gamertag...

One additional tip that helped me is to use the little code to change the look of the gems. For those that don't know that code, when you're in-game hold LB+LT+RB+RT and press A. This will change the look of the gems and make them more dull, with a black outline around them. My eyes seemed to focus better and I could see matches more quickly with that setup, but your mileage may vary on that one.
