The fastest way that I found to get this achievement is to continually throw no-hitters. Edit every single batter on any one team (I went with the Royals) to have the lowest possible speed, but the highest possible aggression and save the roster. Continually play against the team you edited. You're going to want to intentionally walk 2 batters (RT + Y) and then pick the runner off of second base (LT + RS up). Playing the game this way will net you a no-hitter, which is a guaranteed way to get a wild card. That wild card has a chance of turning into a pack of 10 cards. Changing the team your playing with as you go will also allow you to unlock several player cards along the way. Look for teams that have easy cards to unlock, such as the Diamondbacks.

Even with this method, it's still a bit of a grind, especially if you're unlucky and get single cards from your wild cards. If you wind up really close to 100, I'd suggest moving away from playing full games, and just looking for specific cards that can be unlocked quickly. Any "Hit 1 Homerun" or "Steal 2 bases" card can be done in the first inning, so simply set the desired player as your leadoff batter, and restart if you fail.
