How to unlock the Exelica True Ending achievement

In order to win this achievement, you'll have to defeat Boss 1 and Boss 3 at their maximum level which means facing Faintear. If you managed to beat her twice, you won't have to worry again about continues or lives, you will face another form of the last boss of the game and you will earn this achivement when credits roll is finished. Of course as title implies, you'll have to do it with Exelica.

Edit: At the moment, it's still unclear whether continues impact this achievement or not.

DarkSephiroth07 added: "Just to correct this, you have to get 3000 metals for the first Faintear in stage 1 and 2900 metals for the second Faintear in stage 3." He also added that you're not forced to go by the default settings. Make those extra lives and bombs count!

Ask for more details if need be.

DarkSephiroth07Just to correct this, you have to get 3000 metals for the first Faintear in stage 1 and 2900 metals for the second Faintear in stage 3.

Also you can't continue! Just went through up to stage 5 where I unfortunately died and had to use continue and I never got the second form of the last boss or the true ending. So this solution is misleading. If it worked pre-patch then it should be stated.

MortyDiceYou can continue. I got the achievement using a continue in stage 5.

DarkSephiroth07Did you use the continue on the true last boss fight? because that doesn't affect anything as you already got the true last boss to appear. If not do you remember how many metals you had when you beat the boss before the true last boss? and I heard that there is a glitch or restriction in the perfect play that you have to play on default settings to earn the achievement even though changing settings doesn't effect other achievements. Did you play on default settings or did you have bonus bombs?

MortyDiceI did play on the default setting. But I got the achievement like 4 years ago and I don't remember the specifics. I'm quite sure I lost a continue somewhere in stage 4.

DarkSephiroth07Yeah I noticed, It's still great that you are keeping an eye for your solution :) I will try it again with default settings as I remember using the max amount of bombs for every achievement that I have. If there is anything new, I will post here.

DarkSephiroth07Finally got it. Managed to get 100mil(yay!) and 1cc(on easy so no achievement) too so didn't feel like testing the continue. I did it again with non-default settings so good news to everyone is that you can put lives: 5, bombs: 5 and extend: 25mil every. Makes this kinda easy when you finally get faintear 3 to appear (this was the biggest problem for me) as after that you can almost bomb your way to the end.
