You will unlock most of the planes by just playing through the campaign. When I finished the campaign, I had only 4 planes that were not unlocked.
To view which planes you need, go to the mission select screen. For each mission there will be a box labeled "Planes Unlocked". If any of the planes in this box have a line through them that means you do not have them unlocked yet.
I am not sure what the criteria are to unlock the planes, but I'm sure some of them have to do with your mission rating. So I would go back to the missions you are missing planes and go for an ace rating as well as beating the ace time, which should be easier on your 2nd play through since you are now familiar with the mission and have better weapons to use. If that doesn't work, make sure you have completed the secondary objective in the mission if there is one.
Note that you do not need to beat the ace time to get an ace mission rating. I believe your mission rating is just based on your prestige points, since I got a lot of ace ratings without beating the ace time.
I had to replay 3 missions and had no problem getting both the ace time and ace rating. In each case, this unlocked the planes I was missing. |
