I found a nice little section on the Chattanooga level where you can get seemingly endless kills. I should add that I did this after I had completed all the levels on easy, so I already had a decent kill count (but lacked the General achievement).
As you are going through the Chattanooga level, go through it slowly, killing everything that you can in the trenches and especially along the ridges, hold back and wait because a lot of the time, enemies will continue to come along the ridges overlooking the trench. I made sure that I had plenty of ammo for all my rifles at all times.
**You will come to a guy dying in the trench who will say some stuff to you and give you another objective. Then you will come to a turn in the trench, so that you will be facing a Fort with the southern flag standing up proudly in the distance. You will be attacked in the trench and guys will start to come at you from the ridge to the left (and you will be joined by some lame AI who will most likely shoot their guns into the trench wall to the right). DO NOT PROGRESS ANY FURTHER! If you sit stay in this spot and keep looking forward/left, enemies will continue to run over the hill, through the smoke into your line of sight. Just keep picking them off. You should be able to get as many kills as you have ammo for from this spot (I got around 150). I think if you try to backtrack for more ammo, when you come back to the spot, the guys will stop coming. Hope this helps you get the General! |
