While I cannot create a guide outlining each exact degree of the level (as everyone's reaction time differs), I can offer some helpful advice, which allowed me to unlock this on my third attempt.

First, DO NOT waste time attempting to force the weapons to cycle to the revolver, the SCAR is far too precise for any intentions you may have to unlock this achievement. Any attempts you make fanning it about the screen in a bid to cycle ASAP are simply moments where, like myself, you will find yourself in a position scrambling to reload, cursing your God when an enemy hits you and resets your counter, at which point you may as well restart.

Instead, cycle the weapons to the shotgun only AND STOP THERE. To extrapolate the solution, I will offer the milestones wherein I cycled my weapons. The starting pistol: after you kill the first three enemy groups and the second comes out of the trees, you should have the Uzi. With the Uzi, by the time you reach the trees with the beehives (in story mode), you should kill a group, and by the time (during) the second larger group manifests, you should acquire the shotgun.

Now, if you recall, I rebuked fanning the screen with the SCAR. Having said that, FAN THE SCREEN WITH THE SHOTGUN. Sweep from left to right (or vice versa), in most instances beginning with enemy about to fire first. (I say this simply because it catches the eye and provides a good starting point; by all means shoot whomever crosses your FOV initially. Especially as you will not always be presented with a yellow reticle). Reload after every 1-3 blasts for good measure. (Or at your discretion). With luck you should clear each section in 3-4 seconds. (Memorize segments where enemies appear at the far right or left, initially outside your FOV and deal with them quickly. The game will not FF until they are dead).

Obviously you do not want to lose your precious shotgun either. Keep a close eye on the counter and when it reaches TWO kills, allow someone to shoot you. I say two because the shotgun has a tendency to kill multiple with one spread, and you do not want to involuntarily switch holding out on one kill. I got shot when facing big groups so I could continue clearing the screen during and immediately after, without having to play "Mother may I?" with the last enemy I needed to kill. However in one or two instances there will be segments with multiple groups of one or two enemies in succession. Taking a moment to get shot here will not jeopardize your time, but do so sparingly. (Again, memorize).

It is worth noting that the time differential at the end need not be extreme. I finished with 1:05:48 and my achievement unlocked. If you adhere to my method, you will not squander precious time working through the SCAR, which forces the revolver on you with diminishing returns. Memorization. Practice. Achievement.

Cheers. toast

(Also, in regard to slow-mo: I have no idea if this makes a difference. I used it on one large group in the river. I know it is not detrimental, as the game fast forwards at the same rate as long as the screen is clear).
