Firstly, looking at video guides does not work for this achievement, as the locations of the 8 notes are random every time you play.

To finish this as easily and stress-free as possible, learn these steps:

1. Use the map to study the locations. They are always the same and your START position is at the bottom.
2. Learn the red spots, which are all the possible spawn locations of the pages. You need to learn to go through these locations swiftly but still carefully to not miss anything.
3. Conserve your stamina. If you are exhausted at 6 or 7 pages collected, it is very likely Slender will get you. It's not that likely that Slender will get you with 1-5 pages collected as he gets his full stalking aggression and speed at 6-7 pages collected.

Learn the map. It is always the same. If you do not study the map, you may be stuck for hours, always getting caught at the end by Slender.

Look at the red spots on the map. Study the locations. You need to always check the 4 bathrooms at the middle and I would suggest you check the rusty pipes too with the same visit, as they are on the front yard of the house.

Learn your bearings. When you are facing the pipes at the front of the bathroom house, the stone tunnel is always at west (left side), the 2 trucks are south, the big three is at east and slightly more to the right, and the 4 other locations (cross walls, rocks, silo and cutted woods) are always to the north in formation.

I would suggest you start with the silo, then examine the rocks, go to cross walls, then to the cutted woods to clear that part of the map completely. The bathrooms and pipes are not that bad and I've never got caught by Slender inside the bathroom corridors.

Learn the 4 red spots of the rusty pipes and always check just those 4 spots, if you look the other ends of pipes, you are just wasting time.

You need to conserve your stamina if you are going to make it to the end. I was caught by Slender countless times, because I ran through the first 6 pages and the character gets exhausted and moves really slowly. Remember, Slender gets FASTER with every page you collect, so having no stamina at the end is a game over situation.

There's no real need to conserve the flashlight when you got the map and locations down, as you will be at 6 or 7 pages collected before 5 minutes and you will have enough power till the end.

My winning strategy was to check every other place except the bathrooms and pipes, at that point I had 6 pages and I knew the 7th and 8th would be at the bathroom and pipes. It is essential to know, which places you have not checked yet, because the game will get much more difficult at 7 pages, as Slender is very fast and will constantly harass you at that point. In my games, I always had less than a minute to get the 8th page, before Slender got me.

You need to go through the map in circular motion, so that there is a minimal need to backtrack and waste stamina. Sometimes Slender warps in front of you, then you'll have to change the direction.

Some useful tips from the page:

- If there is a page at the tunnel, there will not be a page at the single blue truck. This also applies vice versa.

- Since version 0.9.7, sprinting automatically uses 5% of your stamina. (so do not spam the sprint button)

- After getting the sixth page, Slender appears right behind you. Sprint away as soon as you get the page, as looking at him this time immediately ends your game.

- Keep a map of the world up on a separate computer if you can, it makes for good reference. Maps can be found on imgur, Reddit, and most likely through miscellaneous google searches.

- If Slender is getting too close behind you, try facing him. Don't look for too long! He will not move when you can see him. Back away while facing him and put a tree between you two before the static gets you. Hopefully he will still be there when you re-emerge and you can put more distance between you two before turning away.

- Looking at Slenderman restores a small amount of stamina, so if you're running low, use the tip above.
