You can build buildings by going to tools-> Shop. I build 5 wheat farms to generate some coins. I shouldn''t build buildings just for this achievement though. By simply doing the questline, you will get this achievement by level 7 or even earlier.
You can see your progress if you press Tools-> Achievements.
