You definitely should do this achievement after Misteak, as you will lose the meat once you get the badger.

You need to get the meat in the animal trap, then do the Misteak achievement. After that, go get the badger in a bush (see location in the video), and go back to town to stain it in purple in the trinkets shop, and then go to the picnic area. Shake the tree so that the bees fall down on the table, and simply put the badger on it.
