From the FIFA 16 "Main Menu" use cn_LB or cn_RB to highlight the "Play" tab.

Highlight the "New Career" tile (using cn_up, cn_down, cn_left, or cn_right). This tile might say "Load Career" or "Continue Career" - if it does, highlight the tile then use the cn_RS to change it to "New Career". Press the cn_A button to begin a new career.

Alternatively you can load or continue a Manager Career that you had previously started.

If you are starting a new career, then highlight and select "Manager Career" from the "New Career" menu.

Pick an appropriate team, or you can review these achievements if you wish to get more than one achievement out of the way at this time:

FIFA 16 (Xbox 360)Management at its bestThe Management at its best achievement in FIFA 16 (Xbox 360) worth 87 pointsWin a Trophy as a Team manager

FIFA 16 (Xbox 360)Gold acquisitionThe Gold acquisition achievement in FIFA 16 (Xbox 360) worth 33 pointsBuy a player which is in a league above you

My suggestion is you pick Chelsea if you are shooting for more than one "Career" achievement at this time, or Manchester City if you are focusing solely on this achievement, as they both have extremely high transfer budgets.

In the "Career Settings" menu be sure to set the "Disable First Summer Transfer Window" to "Off" or you are going to be simming for a logn while.

Highlight "Advance" and press the cn_A button to continue. Then repeat once more.

Once you are in the main career menu, use cn_LB or cn_RB to highlight the "Transfers" tab.

Highlight the "Search Players" tile, and press the cn_A button to select.

Now you can just search for a specific player - my suggestion is shoot for Gareth Bale, but you can go for any reasonably priced 80+ rated player.

Alternatively you could search for "Transfer Listed" players, but I found it quicker to find an 80+ target by name.

Regardless, once you have that player you need to scroll down & highlight "Approach Team to Buy" (for Bale it will say "Approach Real Madrid to Buy"). Press the cn_A button to go to the "Transfer Offer" screen.

Make sure it says "Buy" & not "Loan" - use cn_LB or cn_RB to change it, if necessary.

Highlight "Offered Transfer Sum" & don't be shy - offer them a ton for the player. Gareth Bale is valued at $107,000,000 - so I offered a reasonable $110 million. Instead of using cn_right to change the amount, press the cn_Y button, use cn_right to move over to the "millions" slot and make the amount at least $110,000,000, press cn_Y again to back out. Double check that changes have be enacted.

Scroll down and press cn_A to "Submit Offer".

Back out to the main career window, and use cn_LB or cn_RB to highlight the "Central" tab.

Make sure the calendar tile at the top left is highlighted & press cn_A to "Advance". The simulation should stop automatically when you get an answer to your transfer offer, but watch the "Office" tab - if the number there changes, but the simulation doesn't pause, press the cn_A button to stop simming, move over to the "Office" tab & check your "Inbox" for a reply to your transfer offer.

Highlight the "Transfer Offer Accepted" message and press cn_A to enter the "Contract Offer" menu. Again don't be frugal. Double his demanded salary (at least), give him a bonus, - however, I did find that this year's version would sometime "reject" the offer if you offered the player an unrealistic squad role (i.e. offering him a role as "Crucial 1st Team Player" can lead to him rejecting the offer), however, for someone like Bale this role is perfectly acceptable. Highlight "Submit Offer" and press cn_A to move on.

Back out to the main menu again, go back to the "Central" tab, and begin simming again - again watching for the "Office" number to change (just in case it doesn't auto-pause).

Back to the "Inbox" Emails menu. Highlight the "Contract Offer Accepted" message & press cn_A for the "Transfer Confirmation". Highlight "Accept Offer" and press the cn_A button to accept, then scroll down and press cn_A again to "Confirm".

This should pop the achievement.

If you choose you can stay in this mode and complete the other career achievements or back out of career mode and seek other challenges!!
