Here's a sure-fire method involving motorcycles, which can be bunched together in a much smaller space than cars and will blow up easier as a result.
1. There's a motorcycle dealership in northern Alderny, you can find it on this map and set yourself a waypoint in the game: http://grandtheftauto.ign.com/maps/1/Liberty-City-Map
(edit: There's a legend on the right side of the page that lets you enable whatever location types you want pointed out on the map, and under "Vehicles" you will find "Motorcycles". Click that, and it's the only motorcycle shop in northern Alderny. Alternatively, you can type "motorcycles" into the "Find" box and get the same blip on the map.)
2. Call Packie and have him drop a bomb off for you nearby.
3. Place the bomb on a car, and drive it into the motorcycle shop.
4. There should be maybe eight motorcycles parked in this shop, use your car to pack them tightly together, preferably in a line.
5. Once you have them smushed together, park your car on one side of the line.
6. Jack another car, park it on the opposite side. This should bring you up to ten. Count and make sure you have 10 vehicles. In the comments, con2king suggests packing in a few extra cars, which couldn't hurt.
7. You might not even need it, I didn't, but stand outside of the dealership with your rocket launcher and then call Packie to detonate the bomb.
8. Everything should blow up real nice. If not, make use of your rockets quickly. |

This achievement just got a lot easier since the release of The Ballad of Gay Tony.
When you get access to sticky bombs call up Armando and buy 8 (or more) of them from his van. Go to a high traffic area (such as Star Junction) and stack at least 10 cars, but the more the better, since things can tend to go a bit wrong.
Place a sticky bomb on every vehicle (up to a maximum of 8), blow them up and be ready to take out a couple of vehicles with the RPG if the bombs haven't done the job.
The reason you should only place 8 bombs is because this amount is the most you can trigger at once, placing more will not do anything except being a waste of potential explosive fun ;) I do not guarantee, that you can't trigger more than 8 bombs at a time, but that is the highest amount I have been able to trigger at once. |

1-There's a motorcycle dealership in north Alderny. Break the glass with any car and push all the motorcycles into the corner. Leave the car in the corner as well
2-Get outside and jack another car. Park this in the corner as well along with the car and the 8 bikes.
3-Throw a grenade or two into the corner. One should do it but two should guarantee that all of them blow up if you do it fast enough.
4-In case the achievement didn't pop up, just run outside and shoot a car with a rocket launcher.
***Notes***
-If you get on a motorcycle to move it, you will get a one star wanted level
-At the very instant the grenade/s explodes, you should get this achievement. If it doesn't pop up, shoot a car outside with a rocket launcher RIGHT AWAY. Don't wait because you're not sure if you got the achievement or not.

Step one: Forget the bombs from Packie ... forget the motorcycle shop ... way too weak for this job.
Step two: Creating a traffic jam like in other videos works well but not so much in that particular area near your second safe house. Try taking a bus into the tunnels from Algonquin to Alderney and about midway through them park it sideways. Force people from their cars by pointing your gun at them (don't shoot), get in the vacant cars and herd them together.
Step three: Rockets/grenades away. If you unlocked the lower wanted level through dating Kiki you can get rid of your wanted level. |

i had no luck with any of these solutions (although thought the bike shop was surely a winner). my method was to:
1. get a taxi over to the safehouse in middle park east (furthest right, middle island).
2. run away from the safehouse to the road just below.
3. block one of the lanes with two cars parked at an angle (use the remove wanted cheat to avoid the police attention).
4. wait until more than ten cars (i had 12+ on my first go)
5. throw grenades (start with the furthest away) as the cars closest to you will drive towards you to avoid the explosion drop a couple at your feet to end the carnage.

You need a rocket launcher for this one, and up to four rockets. As long as you've got that, this achievement is easy.
You also need to be somewhere you can line 10 cars up, side-to-side and really close together (for example, the car park just down the road from your eastern-most safehouse in Algonquin).
So get any 10 cars, and line them up, side-by-side and so they're literally touching the car next to them. If you get a wanted level whilst collecting the cars, you can use the wanted level down cheat and it will NOT affect you getting the achievement.
Once the 10 cars are lined up, get out your rocket launcher. Fire at one of the cars on the end of the cars you've lined up (it doesn't matter if you go left to right or right to left). As well as blowing up the car you fire at, it should also cause the next 3 or 4 cars to explode as well. Fire at the next car which hasn't blown up, and so on. A few seconds later, you will have the achievement. |

| I done this on Lost & The Damned because you get pipe bombs and they are much more powerful, so just steal a load of cars and get them all close to each other (You obviously need at least ten) once you have got the cars together keep throwing pipe bombs into the group of cars until you get the achievement. |

Easy Method:
Needed: Rockets and a Helicopter
Fly to Algonquin. Go to the busy streets in the middle of the city( where the split in the city is). Find a corner building that is a few stories( floors) off the ground and land.
Wait for cars to line up behind the stop signs when its in red.( Look at both intersections for nicely lined cars)
Pull the rockets out and shoot at the lined cars at both intersections.
Hoep im not stealing this from anyone hear but I did see someone do this on a youtube video last year and helped me get it.

[This solution was written for use with the DLC - The Ballad Of Gay Tony. Reason: Sticky Bombs.]
I originally tried using a helicopter to land on an overhang in star junction and rain rockets from there - after about four tries i gave up. It's incredible how frequently the RPG will arc 90* right under a vehicle and scream off up the road.
I finally used a combination of Bjaelde's sticky bomb idea and Roosterteeth's Star Junction bus blockade to get the job done. Block star junction with a nearby bus (I managed to get four lanes cut off with one bus) and calmly stroll between the cars dropping sticky bombs with RT (Pressing RT without LT held in results in the bomb being dropped to the floor) until you've got the place nicely carpetted. If the drivers start getting antsy, don't panic, just wait patiently for more to drive up. This is why we stuck the floor, not the cars.
Keeping the scene in your view (I'm paranoid about the cleanup fairies stealing my cars) back away from the junction until you're safe.
Detonate the bombs, whip out the RPG, and clean up anything that's still moving/not exploding. I had to fire one rocket after the main detonation to get my blip.*
*Of course, I still recommend emptying the RPG into anything nearby.

| I got this in front of my safehouse in Algonquin. I chose to do it there because a lot of cars pass through there. First, I went to the gun shop and bought some RPG's. Then I parked a car on both sides of the street in front of the safehouse. Then I just waited there because cars can't pass due to the two cars I parked in the way. Then, I waited until I could count around 15 cars piled up. Finally, from a distance I shot my RPG around 2-3 times and I got the achievement. This was pretty easy and I got it on my first try. Good luck!!! |

| i played the balled of gay tony what i did was gather a bunch of cars and park them close together and then take an RPG and then spawn a apc a little bit far away from all the cars climb on top of the apc to get a good view then shoot rockets at the cars |

You need an AK-47 and an RPG
The way i did this was to find a building parking lot (like the one outside the airport) and take at least 12 cars and line them up in squares (you should get 3 squares) after that, you throw a grenade in the middle of 1 and shoot an RPG in the middle of another one. both should destroy and you just need to shoot another RPG in the middle of the last square

The easist way to do this is to get some RPG's, Get a bus from star junction. and drive it on to the broker bridge. Then wedge the bus across both lanes and wait untill you have about 15 cars. Get out and get on top of the bus. Release Hell with the RPG's and you should get it.
Hint: aim for the back cars first. Beacuse the minute they see you blowing stuff up they try to drive off. |

| This is quite easy.. Go to one of the Gas tanks and get 10 cars (Or more just to make sure). Place them around this gastank and trough a grenade or use a rocket launcher and blow it all up. Bang! |

Here's what I did to get the achievement.
1st - Get plenty of grenades (5 should do)
2nd - Go to the airport parking lot and find an area with a lot of cars.
3rd - You can move other cars towards each other and basically make a group of 10 cars(or more to be safe)
4th - Throw all the grenades towards different cars in the group.
5th - Repeat if necessary. |

I tried a few of the above, but none seemed to work for me. In the end I got this just outside the 2nd safehouse you get. Store 2 cars in your parking area, then get something big (fire truck is good), and park it across the street, across the traffic flow.
Now, go into your safehouse and save. Come out and all should still be there. Go directly across the street and into the doorway opposite (where the street preacher stands, next to the ATM/cash machine).
Go up to the top of the building, onto the roof, then boost up onto the lip. Look down and wait for enough waiting vehicles (only need 7 as you have 3, but they build from the right quickly).
When you've enough sat waiting behind the fire truck, let rip with either grenades or RPGs to suit!
OR, another way. Head north from this safehouse, and get onto the bridge across to 2nd island (Algonquin). Go about 1/4 along, then turn around and go back. Often, the game will spawn multiple cars parked up on both sides of the road to the right at the (Bohan) end of the bridge (San Quentin Ave). If they don't appear, rinse & repeat until they do. Then, block road in middle of parked cars, step back and wait for traffic, then let fly again with grenades or RPG.
I tried both in the space of 5 minutes, and both worked first time.

easily done after one of the assassination assignments at the plant/rifinery southern part of acter industrial park.
after i completed the assignment, i jumped into a SUV and noticed a parking lot of 30 cars/trucks all parked next to each other in 3 rows so i just pushed the 3 rows together(took about 20 seconds) then i threw 2 grenades and switched to my rocket launcher but the achv popped before i could shoot the rocket launcher.
i only pushed 20 of the 30 cars/trucks together so i wasnt wasting time. achv popped in 2 seconds after i threw the second grenade. the SUV i used for pushing the vehicles together was kept away from the explosion so i had something to drive away and it was a good thing i did, bcuz the cops showed up after the achv popped but they r slow getting there so it was easy to escape. |

Hey everyone, i have realized that all these solutions are great and work 99% - 100% of the time. If you are completely puzzled like i was until i got it then i know what the problem is...
#1 This achievement can be earned using pretty much all shooting or throwing weapons... (Not melee)
#2 If you used any kind of cheat (including the pointless weather cheat) i advice you start a new game file right away!
#3 I like using the cheats, most cheats don't effect achievements, and I used them to help me beet the game faster. Well i used the weapon cheats and so on to get rpg's grenades, and blew up nearly 23 cars in less than 8 seconds!!!! I then realized the achievement is seriously glitched or I'm doing something terribly wrong.

Copy and paste on a new tab and load that web page. After you do that go to the right side of the map. Look for the gun icon (Its a pistol). When your mouse is over it it should say "Show weapon pickups" all these guns will pop up. Now you need to limit the search for something better!!! Now look for the search icon (magnifying glass). Click it and spell "grenade" there are 3 grenade locations at the start of the game you can go to. {go to all 3 (Dukes and Broker)} You should find them. They glow orange. Now you can do one of the any methods shown above. Even after dropping Roman off at his so called mansion. You can do this 5 minutes into the story. The time it took me to get 9 grenades was about 10 minutes. Then after setting up a roadblock, i was half an hour into the new story file. I threw all my grenades like crazy and boooom!!! achievement unlocked right away! Total time was about 33 minutes... It took a while, but it beets hours and hours of exploding cars and not have a friken clue on what the hell your doing wrong... GOOD LUCK! I hope this helps =) |

My solution is to:
1) Go to Frankfort Ave. and Obsidian St.
2) There will be sort of ramp http://www.gta4.net/map/?lat=8.0419921875&lng=-46.933593... check that picture for exact location
3) Block the second lane (the first lane is already blocked)
4) Steal cabs, cars, trucks... ( I got a trashmaster, 12 taxis, 1 Sanchez and 1 Blista compact, making a total of 15 vehicles)
5) Got my RPG out and started to shoot. I used 2 or 3 rockets.
Note: This achievement is somewhat buggy. I have tried to get this achievement for a long time, tried many techniques and various locations but this solution was the one that worked for me. |
