  • Report Solution

  You get the achievement for killing someone during a scavenge mission. Equip a knife, gun, or other weapon to ease the killing (I used a shovel).
  
  EDIT: Apparently you don't actually have to kill someone - but only get into a life or death situation. Thanks Fream for the comment!

  Lol. I'll tell you what, shovel is my favorite weapon so far. More effective than a knife - that's for sure.

  It is not necessary to get the kill actually - I went into a home with my crowbar - engaged in combat, but forgot the buttons - homeowner kicked the crap out of me (lethally wounded) and I hobbled out of their home without even hitting them. Achievement popped when I came home.

  Interesting. So maybe it's less about attacking someone else, and more about being attacked yourself. Thanks Fream, I will update my solution!

  The flavor text says "one of us had a brush with violent death" - that looks to mean you either brutally attacked someone or were brutally attacked yourself perhaps.
