In order to accomplish this achievement, you will need to build as many buildings with culture bonuses as possible. I believe you also need at least one wonder that adds culture, and likely a settled great person with a culture bonus (artist/thinker) as well. When I popped this, I had a city sized ~18 with:
* Temple (culture = 1x population)
* Cathedral (culture = 2x population)
* Settled Great Artist (culture +50%)
* Shakepeare's Theatre (culture +100%)
That gave me a culture/turn of about 210-220.
UPDATE: One other set of buildings can really amp this up:
* Courthouse
* Magna Carta
The Magna Carta will cause your courthouses to produce culture.
Also, selecting a Monarchy will give you a palace culture bonus.
I have at least one of these almost every game, as I find a defensive culture/technology civilization to be almost unstoppable on King difficulty. |
