The description for this achievement is slightly misleading, you've also got to interperate the meaning of the name.
You don't have to win with only one city, but you cannot settle a second city. However you can capture enemy cities. For that reason playing as the Mongols makes this easier. Mongolians capture rather than destroy barbarian villages. If you do get any settlers then add them to an existing city. |

Do the scenario "Beta Centurai" as the Greeks. Get your city to build a temple, cathedral, market and bank and then the Magna Carta wonder (in that order). The Greeks have a bonus that gives you lots of great people.
Many of them will add gold to your city. When you are making around 400 gold, build the internet wonder and this will double your income. Then whore it until you can build the world bank.
Change your city to production or customise it yourself. Then, yoila!
Its truly as easy as it sounds! |

i got this one playing the beta centauri scenario on king difficulty. i chose the Zulu for their 50% gold production.
Most of the time you are isolated on an island and the following procedure will be enough to get this achievement in about 6 minutes.
- found city, preferably near water
- build / buy temple, cathedral, market & bank
- switch to gold only
- buy a courthouse
- buy trade post if you have deserts
- when you have 20000 gold, buy a factory
- switch to production only
- build world bank. |

| When I got this achievement I was playing on Beta Centauri with the Mongols. (I also played on Deity) I defended my city with the first Modern Infantry unit waited a few turns so I could build three separate units and waited until the attacks on my city by the barbarians lessened. Then I took my ample units and sent them out to find the Barbarian villages an took them over. Then I just played the game out. Do not settle another city. |
