If you have 4 controllers and you find a friend that has 4 controllers aswell, you can boost this achievement easily. It takes a while, but its a lot easier than doing it against the computer.
Go to Competition > XBL Player match, sign all controllers (Apart from your main one) in as guests then invite your mate. Tell him to do the same and your ready to go.
Just make sure your player gets a score on the board for all events and then with the other controllers you dont have to get a score, just let their jump/throw etc be a foul. Using this method you will always win therefore earning yourself the achievement.
As I said this will take a while, probably about an hour+ for each person. The same can be done with the Decathlon event |

You dont need to win all the events in one shot. this achievement unlocked for me after winning the long jump event(5th event). i guess that was the one i had come in 2nd on a previous attempt. this should also apply for the decathalon achievement.
* Edit* i dont believe this works for decathalon. i had to win all 10 straight for the achievement to pop.
as for techniques for winning. in any race/jump event i prefer to wiggle the sticks back and forth rather than button mash, tears up the hands but i get much better results, especially if i turn the controller on its side and use a chopping action on it. i use the other hand to support the controller and to use the triggers to initiate the starts or jumps.
*************important note***************
using the control sticks in the way i mentioned screws up your controller. i recommend finding a cheap controller to play this game with. i ruined 2 wireless controllers on this game. the control stick center or rest postion is now slightly up. so any game i play now the character moves forward on their own.
as for any event not covered by the above technique, its just a matter of practice. many guides are posted for the individual events. if you are having trouble with a particular event i encourage you to research their solutions (I know I did).
edit- its come to my attention that they may have patched the game so that you have to win all events in one shot, if this is the case, try clearing the cache on your xbox and playing the game without the updates. that should make it easier. anyone who tries this please inform me of your results |

if you dont use the 8 controller boosting method, here r the events.
i did this by myself working towards "heptathlon points pro".
alot more info is posted on the "heptathlon points pro" achievement. i posted the times needed and the difference between the hept athlete and the practice athlete. the hept athlete is slower and weaker.
using female athlete: 100m hurdles, 200m, 800m, long jump, high jump, javelin, shot put
if you want to go for the "heptathlon points pro" achievement you will need 6900pts. below is 7 events worth 1000 each giving you 7000pts.
to get 1000pts in the event:
100m hurdles=13.85seconds high jump=1.82m shot put=17.07m 200m=23.80sec long jump=6.48m javelin=57.18m 800m=127.63sec
good luck. |
