To beat every mission in both arenas you can use one very simple, and rather cheap tactic: build a NEXT equipped with two of the back weapon called SALINE which is a missle launcher that fires a single missle then splits into about 8 halfway through its flight. VERY VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: the SALINE launchers are only overpowered in the 1.00 regulations. To change regulations go to ACSYS then down to options and change your regulations down to 1.00 when you're using the SALINEs (remember to change it back once you're done abusing their overpoweredness). They work best if you fire from within 800 range. You want a NEXT that is agile enough to boost around and fly a bit (it helps to fire your SALINEs from above because if the missle hits anything before it splits it is instantly destroyed completely).

Sometimes against a chaingun wielder they will shoot your missle before it splits, but just keep side boosting and floating around and they will eventually eat a full barrage and lose about 10k AP. The only other thing you really need to have for the arenas is the shoulder mounted A07 flare or something like that. It's the best flare, just fire it off whenever it recycles vs any enemy that dares try to missle you. Keep your distance (around 800 or 1000 is best) because if your missle hits them before it splits it does piddly damage.

Lastly, the key to building a NEXT with good flight time is pumping the stat "Boost Duration" which benefits most from using low energy-use parts and a generator with very high CAPACITY- energy output is not quite as important. I think I completed every one of the arena missions both COLLARED and ORCA with this setup with a mech toting about 3.3k AP.

You will annihilate everything, although a few opponents you may need to learn to dodge their plasma cannons. Those were the biggest problem as I recall. They fire slowly but if they connect you are F'd.
