I think I've found the quickest, easiest way to get this Achievement. Having just unlocked it myself, I can say that I managed to get 500k in a week with this set.

Right, so you want to be playing Expert Bass on your profile, and have a second profile/player on Beginner Vocals at all times.

Play the following;

Dammit - $1,235 - 2:41
The Kill - $1,380 - 4:11
The Middle - $1,195 - 2:50
Rebel Yell - $1,860 - 4:47
Scream Aim Fire - $1,610 - 4:27
Stillborn - $1,105 - 3:11

So that's roughly 21 minutes, and around $8000.

This adds up really quickly.

Another way is to just play Dammit over and over again as it's really short and gives you over $1000 a time.

It will get very boring though, but like I said I got half of the money in a week, playing for about 5-8 hours a day.

Good luck people and have fun, even though playing this set for the next 50 hours will get very boring. =P

It may be wise to put in some of your favourite songs (Unless these are your favourites, in which case, you're set!) from time to time so the setlist isn't as boring.

Greets there fellas! This is an in-depth guide for those of us that just want to use all-talkie songs on vox for the most part of this ridiculous achievement.

The following set of songs are all-talkie songs which you can play on expert by pointing a fan at your microphone:
No Sleep 'til Brooklyn - On disc - $760 - 4:32
Grave Of Opportunity* - Free DLC - $665 - 4:15
On Broken Glass* - Free DLC - $625 - 3:50
Debaser - DLC (160MSP) - $540 - 2:57

(All based on 100% with no SP usage.)

*The Free DLC songs are apart of this free three-pack.

They all work out roughly the same in $/min, once you factor in menu/loading times. So what I suggest you do is place all 4 (Or 3, if you're missing Debaser) in a setlist and play them all. The advantages being that you will only have to load the venue/setlist/etc once, at the end of a song the next song will be preloaded, making it a tad quicker if you move away from the 360.

If I'm missing a song or have made a mistake, please comment and I'll fix it up ASAP.

Callum x360a has a really good guide on this achievement, and regardless of whether you follow it or not, this achievement WILL take time. Lots of it. Undeniable fact. Prepare for a grindfest.

HOWEVER.

I'm currently working on a spreadsheet that includes all WT compatible songs (all on disc AND DLC) to figure out which 6 song setlist is the most effective based on money earned per minute.

EDIT 3: OK, so here are my results so far.

The best song, dollars per minute wise, is Soul Doubt. This is good news for people who don't want to spend money on DLC for faster grinding. The BAD news is Soul Doubt is one of the hardest FCs on WT, as its chock full of randomly changing rhythms and quick fret changes in succession amidst constant strumming. It is hard. If you're looking to take the easy way out on this and grind, then keep this song out. If you're up for it, throw it in there.

Linoleum, Get Out of Denver, and I Only Want You are three songs you should pick up. Each have 400+ dollars per minute and are all higher than Dammit but are still relatively simple/easy to FC.

If you're leaving out Soul Doubt, it's honestly a toss up between Sliver and Very Ape. The difference between the two dollars per minute wise is negligible, so it comes down to personal preference at that point.

As stated before, Callum's original setlist was for $8385 dollars at 22:27, which gave 373.5 dollars a minute.

With the The Kill, Scream Aim Fire, Stillborn, and Rebel Yell being swapped out for Linoleum, Get Out Of Denver, Soul Doubt, and I Only Want You, the setlist goes for $7270 at 16:20, which gives ~445.102 dollars per minute.

Using that setlist minus Soul Doubt plus Very Ape/Sliver goes for ~441 dollars per minute.

For every minute you play this setlist over the other, you gain ~67-71 more dollars, depending on if you use Soul Doubt or not.. In a long haul, everything makes a difference.

I'm still grinding through stuff so there may be even more(!!!!) improvements, but as of now, the setlist should be:

Linoleum - $940 - 2:08
Get Out Of Denver - $1255 - 2:44
Soul Doubt - $1335 - 2:49
Dammit - $1235 - 2:53
The Middle - $1195 - 2:53
I Only Want You - $1310 - 2:53

Hope this helps, and I'll update if I find anything better.

Ok, here is the deal with this achievement. Each time you do No Sleep Till Brooklyn on expert vocals you should get $760. This averages out to equal about $10,000 an hour. So thats 100 total hours of that song. BUT, there is an even faster way..this will require you to play though. Sign in the profile you want the money on as a vocalist. Then plug in a guitar or drum set. Go into band quickplay and chose No Sleep Till Brooklyn. Set the mic by anything that makes noise like you normally would and play any difficulty on the other instrument. You should get about $1200-$1400 every time. Reducing the time required by a lot. I guess it just depends on if you actually feel like playing or not. Either way good luck!

This is not the fastest but it is the least work if you have a turbo controller. Make sure you have completed all the venues. Set up your mic/fan and sign in as a beginner vocalist and select any gig in career mode. Start it up and clamp down the a button with turbo on and let it run as long as you want. It will keep playing the same gig over and over until you stop it.

Edit: Enter into the custom gig and back out before setting this up. This should keep you from getting stuck on the custom gig.

Just a quick tip to add to the solution guides here for everyone: DO NOT activate Star Power in any songs. You earn bonus money for not doing it, based on whatever difficulty you play. You can get an extra $20.00 everytime you play on Expert. You do not earn more money for having a higher score when you activate Star Power.

This method is the least work for the Most Money. Go to Band Career with your account signed into Vocals (Expert) and guest or another account on Bass (Beginner). Pick No Sleep Till Brooklyn walk away until the Solo then pick up the guitar, hit star power and play until your meter in full in the green again ($1,250) or until the song is over ($1,450). You make about double what you would if you did the solo career No Sleep Till Brooklyn ($760) with virtually no work at all. You can Sit on the Internet or watch a movie or whatever and kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Yes I know you could play Dammit (Expert Bass) over and over for $1,220 and less time but you actually have to play it. I Prefer doing a little of Both.

I'd like to point out that the expert vox with a fan trick on NSTB is fairly quick, adding guitar or bass is faster, but adding 2 additional instruments is ideal. Use a fan for you main account on expert vox, and two guests, one on bass, one on guitar, both on beginner. There is very little difference between guitar & bass until the solo. This method will net you around $1750-1800 per play. (just over 4 minutes) This is easily done by laying both of the guitars on the floor or table, use one hand each, & obviously you will have 2 highways, so put the guitars on the corresponding sides. Additionally, it should be noted that you should NOT FC the song on either instrument, even if you're able. FC'ing the song on anything else besides vox will cause the solo streaker bonus to go to one of these instruments, rather than your main account. I have personally FC'ed this song on all 3 instruments together, & this will net you $1400 & change, but if you FC all 3 instruments until the very end, & let the last note go, you should get $1790 or so. You may need to play it a few times to get the hang of it, but it works fairly well as long as you can tolerate the repetition.

On a side note, for those of you grinding this out legit, keep in mind that the instrument you're playing factors in quite a bit. The more common an instrument is, the less money you'll get from it. As long as you're comparing common difficulty... (expert guitar vs. expert bass, for example) you generally make the least amount of money from guitar, followed by bass. Drums will earn you more than bass, & vox will net you the most cash per song (generally speaking, unless there's far less of your chosen instrument in the song.)
Good luck, & happy grinding.

Getting perfect on a song on Guitar works too....or a big note streak.

I had 1000+ note streak from Schism on medium and it netted me a sweet 1k (theres like 1300 notes on it- they rarely give u the equivalent to $1 a note)

Another song this could prove easy on is Monsoon (100% expert= about $935)this song is slow to where you can master it yet it has the groups of 3 chords

Just play the game however you see fit and have fun doing it: the $1Mil will come with time

I would like to add my two cents to the solution for this achievement. While you are playing songs, try and whammy every single held note. You do not have to whammy the whole note, just whammy until you want to stop. You cannot hold down the whammy bar the whole song. You must at least one get 3-4 tiny blips in the long note by whammying.
Every time you pass a song where you whammied every single held note, you get an extra $25, called Whammy Maestro. It may not be much but it all adds up in the end.
It would take roughly 40 plays of a song that wields $1,000 in order for Whammy Maestro to pay off, but every 40 plays means one less play of a song at $1,000.

The best way to do this is to play with a 4 player band in band career over XBL. If everyone is on expert, and does fairly well (Streaks, percentage) then you can earn up to 5k per song. Granted, it could be difficult to find 4 expert players, especially 4 good expert players. But its a lot faster than doing bass songs solo, and a HELL of a lot faster than doing NSTB on vox. So good luck to all, and happy grinding.

I little helpful setup for those using the fan method that allows more freedom and not so much a boring grind.

Things needed: A pc/laptop and smartphone (or 2 smartphones/ webcam enabled pc's/laptops), a wireless controller, and wifi

Something I figured out that is very helpful is the use of webcaming/video calling. To explain, I would use Skype on my smartphone and laptop. My smartphone would be taking the video of the song, and I would see its progress through my labtop. Once I see that the song is done my laptop, I would use the wireless controller to reset the song.

Heres some arrows for more clearification
t.v.-->smartphone-->wifi-->computer/laptop-->wireless controller

This helps with those that want to do other things around the house, like eating, watching or t.v, maybe going outside. The biggest factor is how far you can go without the wireless controller disconnecting.

Experiment to see how far the controller can go without dissconiting, and seeing ur computer can tell u if it gets disconnected (because its showing the gameplay).

Hope this helps and leave a comment if u have any questions.

Here is what I did - thanks to the other guides for this achievement as it made things a lot easier.

You will need:
1) Mic - wired is better since batteries do run out
2) Turbo controller
3) A timer
4) Completed all vocals locations in career mode so that it defaults to the "Singer Wanted - USA" venue.
5) Free DLC songs Grave Of Opportunity and On Broken Glass.
6) A fan.

Steps:

1) Set the mic up to the fan.
2) Go to the Singer Wanted venue in career mode and select Grave of Opportunity, On Broken Glass and No Sleep 'til Brooklyn.
3) Have your turbo controller spam the A button.
4) Set your timer to 13 minutes 45 seconds and start it.
5) Walk away until the timer rings. Come back and you should be at the select song screen for the Singer Wanted venue.
6) Repeat steps 2-5.

You make $1940 per set I believe (you don't get the no star power used bonus). I chipped away at this over the course of 10 days making about $50K per day while doing other things. I realize this won't be for everyone and it is a little slow but it does work.

Since this is the most time consuming achievement in the game, shaving off a few seconds and adding a couple bucks will do really well in the long run.

NOTE: You must be a decent and consistent drummer with a drumset that has a good snare (red) pad. If not, the other solutions will help you more than I will.

First off, your Gamertag must be signed in on your drumset. Then plug in a mic (wireless mics DO NOT work in this game) and turn on a controller for second player, it doesn't need to be signed in.

Next, go into band quickplay and pick the song "On The Road Again (Live)" and go on expert drums and beginner vocals. Put your mic up to a fan or a speaker so the vocals do not fail you out. After playing the song, make your judgment on if you can consistently FC (Full Combo) this song.

If you can consistently FC this song, then keep playing it, you can make $1365 every 2:28 (Not including loading times).

If you can't consistently FC this song, then read another guide, they will help you more than this guide will.

Some tips before you start:
-Practice the tricky kicks in the song and the ending. Those 2 aspects of this song may throw you off and will make you lose out on some decent cash.
-NEVER activate star power, not only will it be tricky with these rolls, but you actually get more money if you don't activate at all, a whole 10 bucks!
-Take a break every 30 minutes, you have worked hard and need to clear your mind from this very repetitive song. Go make a sandwich or go out for a walk, it will make this achievement much less irritating.

WARNING: This method of getting this achievement may wear down your snare drum pad. If you have an obsolete drumset, (for argument's sake let's say a Rock Band 1 kit) I would recommend using it for this method. Hitting one pad this many times causes a bubble to form in the middle of the drum pad causing sensitivity, how hard you must hit, and overhitting issues.

Good luck!
