It's worth noting that the "Scientific Pursuits" achievement is bugged on the PC version of Fallout 3. You should get it as part of completing the main storyline, but sometimes it doesn't trigger properly (if you visit Rivet City and talk to Dr Li first, for example).

You manually give yourself this achievement by:

Pressing " ` " on your keyboard. (The key with a ¬ symbol on it, to the left of 1, at the top of your keyboard.)
Then type:
"addachievement 6"
(without the quotes)
