## Achievement Guide for A Gritty Epic of Redemption

Solution
Alfindeol's solution is good, but I just wanted to add some more information about some of the western questions you will see. Nothing worse than finally getting a western question and getting it wrong.

Movie Clip:

Probably the most important one is the Three Amigos movie clip because this will net you 5 correct questions if you get them all. The movie clip starts with Steve Martin's character standing up on a wall trying to get the attention of the other 2 amigos who are on the ground. I have gotten two different sets of questions for this movie clip.

Question set #1:
1) Name the movie = Three Amigos
2,3,4) Name the characters played by the three main actors:
Chevy Chase = Dusty Bottoms
Steve Martin = Lucky Day
Martin Short = Ned Nederlander
5) What is the 3rd move in the Three Amigos Salute = Hands on hip

Question set #2:
1) Which actor is wearing striped shirt = Chevy Chase
2) Who directed the movie = John Landis
3) Landis and Chase teamed up in what 1985 movie = Spies Like Us
4) Some question about a 1987 sci-fi movie = Innerspace
5) Voice of the singing bush = Randy Newman

Sound Bite:

1) One of the sound bites is from the movie Shane, but the tricky part is that 3:10 to Yuma is also a choice. There is not a sound bite for the movie 3:10 to Yuma that I know of (I may be wrong) so I would chose Shane if the two come up. The follow up question asked what actor played Shane, which is Alan Ladd.

2) Its a Sound Bite, and Shane and High Noon are both answers, but 3:10 to Yuma isn't there, so you don't have to confuse this Sound Bite with the other one. The answer to the Sound Bite is High Noon, the 2nd question asks who is trying to get revenge on the Sheriff, the answer to that one is Frank Miller. (credit to Unfcnbleevibl)

3) John Wayne speaking, not sure the quote but the movie is Quiet Man. Follow up question: He's escaping to Ireland (credit to PrimeBigTime)

Songs & Slogans:

1) Question asks what movie has the slogan "Time waits for one man", which the answer is 3:10 to Yuma.

2) Question contains "its a hell of a thing, killing a man." the answer is Unforgiven. (credit to SGTSlaughter123)

3) Question about "Raindrops Keep Fallin on My Head". The answer is Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (credit to TBonePhone)

4) "I wish I knew how to quit you" was from Brokeback Mountain (credit to SaltyTON)

Child's Play:

1) There is a "Childs play" question on Three Amigos as well, it starts with the drawing of a desert, than a couple of cactusses, then a horse, three horses, one "amigo" and finally the last two... (credit to MastaGus)

Props:

1) During a Props round there was a picture of a soldier on a horse using a trumpet (or bugle). The answers were Shane, Rio Grande, City Slickers, and The Good the Bad and the Ugly. The correct answer is Rio Grande, I looked it up and it is considered a Western movie. (credit to Unfcnbleevibl)

2) There is a black and white photo of a cowboy looking at a clock on the wall. The answer is High Noon. (credit to Unfcnbleevibl)

Invisibles:

1) It shows some Western Cowboy clothing, with the person wearing it missing. The answer to it is Shane. (credit to Unfcnbleevibl)

2) There's a cowboy outfit with a red shirt and the person is missing, and the answer is El Dorado (credit to Trivial Factor)

(Clarification from TBonePhone)
The two invisibles are different. Shane's shows a tan shirt and cowboy hat, while El Dorado has a red shirt and a vest. For both questions, the answer is the only western in the list, so they're easy to tell apart without having to look at the pictures closely

Genre X:

(credit to Trivial Factor)
1) Which movie did Casey Affleck win an Oscar for: The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
2) Two sheep herders fall in love: Brokeback Mountain
3) Clint Eastwood Oscar winning movie: Unforgiven
4) A rancher agrees to transport an outlaw to another town: 3:10 to Yuma
5) Civil war soldier makes an unlikely friend with the Sioux: Dances with Wolves
6) Tommy Lee Jones directs what movie about a Texas mexico official: The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada
7) Confederate colonel leads a possee: Seraphim Falls
8) Legendary outlaws pull bank jobs (starring paul newman): Butch Cassidy and Sundance kid
9) John Wayne gets kidnapped by Comanche in which John Ford film? - The Searchers (credit to SaltyTON)

Addition by St Tony22 for people who may have problems with this achievement glitching:
- I read on a forum on x360a.org that if you have not completed the main game and have purchased the Award Winners DLC, the game counter for each "answer X questions" achievement will glitch. By my count, I had answered about 30 Westerns and the achievement did not pop. One quick fix that will work is to delete the DLC and your save file and start again. I can confirm this. I did this last night and it only took me 10 long play games to finally get the achievement.
- If you are planning to do this, make sure that you have unlocked every DLC achievement before deleting your save file as you will reset those counters to zero as well. You DO NOT have to clear the cache.
This achievement is probably one of the most difficult achievements to get. There are a very small amount of Westerns in the game, but, like with all the other achievements, this one will come in time. Here is a short list of Westerns that I can confirm appear in the game.

Shane
Brokeback Mountain
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
3:10 to Yuma
Three Amigos
High Noon

This will come eventually if you keep playing, so just stick in there. I prefer playing custom games, so I can turn off the Buzz in, and using this method, if one of these films comes up in the answer choices, you can just guess it. Doesn't harm anyone if you are wrong, but it hurts to miss these cause they are so few and far between. Hopefully you'll get lucky, like I did, and get a Western Genre X game

As an important side note, some of the achievements in this game will glitch and not unlock. When that occurs, you must clear the achievement file from your systems memory, deleting your save game, and play until you would unlock it a second time. To do this, go to your 360's memory and into the Scene It: BoS folder. Inside there will be a save file linked to your gamertag. Delete that and go back to playing the game. It will start a new save, resetting your progress which should allow you to pick up any achievements you missed. As a word of advice, finish as many achievements as you can before you do this because you don't want to loose the progress you've already accumulated on achievements that aren't glitched.

Cheers!
