Just for the sake of arguement let's assume you've played the entire campaign on veteran up to this point and are aware how to get through a mission. I'll give you a couple of pointers with an amazing secret at the end. After you grab some ammo from the drop, immediately take cover behind the ammo drop. For me, it was easiest to go from right to left taking out the snipers in the trees (who should be your primary targets); but be aware of the banzai attackers coming in from your left. Honestly, from this point until the courtyard is fairly simple. Move cautiously, use smokes, and watch for grenades. I won't lie, the courtyard was a MOTHER%$^*+R! Again, move cautiously but aggresively. You want to keep pushing forward. Otherwise they WILL grenade-spam you like hell. Once you are through this, you have another tunnel section which is very similar to the one in Burn 'Em Out. Once you come out, climb a couple of stairs and you will find yourself outside Shuri Castle. You will soon have to make a difficult choice.
SPOILER ALERT!!!
If you choose to save Roebuck, position yourself at the bottom of the stairs. DO NOT GO OVER TO ROEBUCK. Whether or not you save him, as soon as the assault begins go prone at the foot of the stairs. After a few minutes you will be prompted to use the artilery strike on first building. You only have to hit it once. The next target will take two strikes. As long as you stay prone at the foot of the stairs, you will only have to content with a few grenades which you should easily be able to return to sender. Every now and then a random banzai attacker may try to charge you, you will be able to see them coming a mile away. Congratulations! |

i survived the courtyard without dying once. what is did was heading back and grabbing some mortars. when you're back in the courtyard just throw them at the enemies as 4 or 5 will die from one mortar. that's what made this part of the mission a cakewalk. also, when you've cleand the courtyard and told to use the mg, head back, grab a mortar an throw it at the enemies. when you are at the final area, hide under the stairs behind some wooden boxes as the enemy won't hit you there. then just use the airstrikes and you'll be 30 GS richer. |
