Not intended as an alternative to the above solution, just adding a few more details:
These guys only show up a few times during the game, but there's one place where you can get three at once, with minimal playtime: Bridging the Gap Part 2. They'll show up on the third bridge segment, usually accompanied by other enemies. By this time, Bolt has maxed powers and constant regeneration, so you can just breeze right through the enemies. When the Stompies show up, use Super Bark (which at this point does significant damage) which will stun them. Hit them a few times with the basic attack (X) and wait for "B" to appear, then use Y to finish him off. |
