If you save up about 160k or use the same system as the living rich achievement SAVE YOUR GAME, sell all your stuff to get 160k and then buy bucklers in Athlum for 450g a piece. Once you have 100 of them take it to the guy next door to disassemble them for 11g a piece. lather rinse repeat until the achievement pops then load your game back up with no loss of cash. This took me about 25 minutes to do.
