After you have cleansed all the lands in the City, you will be able to go through the Black Gate to the Hunter's lair. After you take the plates around, you will land in an arena with a border of corruption with only a small section open. That is your goal, to push him off the platform. I recommend backing into it yourself and blocking until he pushes you, starting a prompt. When you win that, you will be switched around. Then you can push him back, starting another. When he falls you will be guided by a slide to another arena and he will return. He will be invincible, but on fire. You just have to wait until he dies form his slowly siphoning health.
