Ensure that you take control of one strategic asset during every mission playthrough. Taking these assets will really help, especially if you attempt the game on Primarch difficulty. Keep an eye out in the various sectors for optional missions that have a timer on them and make sure you pick those with the assets you need. The assets you have will be displayed with a green highlight on them.

Once you reach the endgame you will have multiple opportunities to pick up the remaining assets.
