So, the way that I did this was I picked a team (St. Louis Cardinals) and then went through each players stats in the roster menu and boosted them all the way up. (Doing this is how I actually got all of the "get so much of a certain thing with one player in a season" achievements. Then, i changed the difficulty to custom and boosted all of the Human player stats "me" all the way up and turned all the CPU stats all the way down for hitting, fielding, pitching, etc. Now, the further ensure this I also chose a team (Pirates) and boosted all of their players stats down, including pitchers. So that I knew there would at least be one team I knew I could dominate and hit as many Home Runs as I could with anytime I played against them. From there on out, you just start up a new Franchise season. Change drafting for CPU off but make sure to turn on Force trade for you and personally I set it to 9 inning games for more time hit hit Home Runs in each game as well as for some of the other achievements. Then just make sure to play 20 games and when you have the 40 home runs with one of your players, YOU DO HAVE TO PLAY A 21st GAME. I'm not completly positive on why, but many people have commented on other achievos about having to play the 21st game for it to pop, and it was the same for me. It did not pop until after I played the 21st game. Simming through the season doesn't have negative effect as long as you play 20 games, and after you have the 40 Home Runs play a 21st one. Also, changing the difficulty settings does not have negative effect either, but having lower than pro difficulty does make it to where you do not unlock cards. So that part is up to you.
