Unless I was doing something wrong, Beginner mode didn't prevent me from failing if an instrument wasn't being played. So here's how I got this one by myself.
Set all instruments to Beginner, so you'll only need to hit the strum bar or any button (except the foot pedal, apparently) on the drumkit. Position all the instruments so that you can easily switch between them. Then, play two instruments at a time. When the instrument you aren't playing gets into the red, switch to that instrument and build it back up. Repeat as necessary.
Theoretically you could do this for any song, but I chose Orion so I didn't have to concern myself with vocals (with an active microphone or controller/headset, of course).
Some people can strum two guitars and push buttons on the drumkit all at once. If you can do that, great. I'm not that coordinated though. :) |

| easy you just need the full band kit go into quickplay and choose beginner mode on all instruments and you will not fail |
