Select Customize from the main menu and select any robot to customize. Change at least one thing and save the bot. Go back to the Main Menu and Select any Single Player mode. Once you get to the robot selection screen, go to the right selection row and go all the way to the back until you get to a Sega Dreamcast VMU. Select this and select the robot you customized. Once this is loaded, the achievement is yours.
