1) Your going to want to avoid the military as much as possible. Roaming the city in a military disguise at all times is the best way to do this.
2) Upgrades are the best way to ensure your survival. If you havent found all 250 collectables yet, now is the time. The EP you get from them will spare you from doing events you probably have already done.
3) Boss fights will be the hardest part of this mode. But they come down to one simple tactic. DEVISTATORS! Use your devistators as much as possible. Run away and consume people in order to fill Critical mass and use them again. Evading hits is also key. For this reason dont use your full body armor because it makes you too slow.
4)I find that using muscle mass during boss fights works best. It makes it easier to grab people on the go than having your blade out and you do more damage when you throw things which is also a key part to some fights.
5) On the final boss make sure you have full critical mass when you weaken him enough to start the timer. Then try to use the critical pain devistator as much as possible to finish him off quickly. The boss will recover from the stun sooner than you will be done using it and may hit you just as you get out of it. This is what i call unlucky because it is possible to use it and get away without getting hit to use it again. If you do get hit remember that you can also use 1 free one when your near death. |

Welcome to hard mode, that's right, hard, and hard is what it is. Here I have a very comprehensive guide to the boss fights. Now you could follow this thing that I took time to write or just use the exploit at the bottom. Your choice. Start by fully upgrading every ability concerning whip fist, health, consume, critical mass, graveyard devastator, critical pain devastator, muscle mass, throw, and every single movement upgrade.
Here, I will concentrate on the boss fights.
Captain Cross: Stay away from him and use whip fist as much as possible. If you see sparks then he is charging his electric baton. Consume infected to recover health. His soldiers should not be a problem as the infected will keep them busy. I recommend not using a devastator here because he Cross might get his baton out and taser your ass.
Supreme Hunter: This guy and his hunter cronies will murder you if you get close so stay away at all costs. Muscle mass and throw upgrades are must-haves for this fight. On lower difficulties whip fist is useful, here, it is utterly pointless. The damage is just not there. Keep grabbing stuff to throw at him as much as you can, the bigger the better. When the military arrives you can take a light tank and fire away, how much damage you do with this is really down to luck and accuracy; just unleash with both barrels until you lose the tank.
Elizabeth Greene: The mission before her is tough as well so here is a quick run-down of it. You will have to defend the bloodtox pumper while it forces Greene out. Grab the Abrams tank ahead of you and use it to kill all the hunters. Shooting the pumper with the tank here dioes not hurt it. Just keep them focused on you. Once you've hit a checkpoint, the tank can be brought back up to 100% strength by reverting to checkpoint. When the leader hunters spawn, do what you can with the tank, after it dies, try to finish them with criritcal pain devastators if you can, otherwise, muscle mass is the way to go. Now kill the hydras and go directly into the boss fight.
Now for the boss fight, this is a long fight, but a very easy one if done carefully. You will only use whip fist, and blade. When the fight starts, get up on top of a building. This is where you will almost always be. Take her down with hit-and-run attacks. Fly over her then hit her with a charged whip fist, then bolt to safety on a building. If you see her charging her roar attack, get up top somewhere, anywhere in the open is vulnerable to this attack. When she goes down beat her with the blade until she goes under. When she emerges the military will arrive to do nothing. Any hunters will only focus n you and ignore them. If you steal a tank then you can do some damage starfing back and forth until you die, (10-20 seconds). Continue on with the hit-and-runs until she eventually dies.
Supreme Hybrid: Here he is, the be all end all. This is by far the toughest part of the game. This guy will kick your ass ten ways to Sunday. Now, let's kick his to Monday... By now you should have everything I outlined earlier, fully upgraded. Have all it done by the time you have finished the mission where you must decimate Blackwatch's helicopter fleet. Because the next mission leads directly into the boss fight, just like Greene did. When the fight begins, get away from him, he is stronger than his previous incarnation, and like his previous form, he is vulnerable to random shit chucked at him. For the beginning of the battle try and let the military do most of the work while maxing your health bar, you will need it for the end. DO NOT THROW THE EXPLOSIVES OR HELICOPTERS AT HIM YET!!! You will need them for the final 3 minutes of the fight. Once he goes down to 1/4 health, the timer will go on for the nuke and the military will skedaddle. Now you must you everything you can to TAKE HIM DOWN! If you've managed to max your health and have a max of 3 critical pain devastators at your claws. Use these (hold X B) to take big chunks out of his health. Once you have exhausted these, put on muscle mass and throw helicopters, when those are gone, throw bombs and missiles. He may be stunned, if he is get on him and punch away. When the pain in the ass SOB finally goes down you can rejoice and watch a badass ending cut scene!
Now. this is for you to decide whether to use or not, but it can drastically change the difficulty of the game. There is a way to get INFINITE HEALTH. Simply go to the event: DISEMBOLWMENT in Central Park. Make sure you have the upgrade Survivability bought. Simply begin the event and go to the marines so they can shoot you. Once you enter survivability (small blue health bar in the left end). Quickly restart the event and when it comes back on you will have lower, but infinite health. You can bring it back up to full. No enemies can hurt you now. You can still lose health by using devastators, but that's it. A few words of warning. The infinite health will have to be reactivated if you restart from checkpoint, failing and going back to free roam is fine. Also, if you take too much damage at once then the game will crash. When I say damage I mean if you could take damage. It crashed twice for me, once when I was hit by Greene's roar attack and once when being shot by 5 tanks at the same time. This will also not work while your powers are disabled by the caner. Good luck. |
