First off, you must gain enough stars to unlock the Tsunami Reef area. When you do, travel there. Select your Career menu and go to the right. The Riders on the Storm race should be at the bottom of the list. To get all 3 stars, you must win on the hardest difficulty. This can be a challenge.
There are 2 major shortcuts during this race that are pretty much necessary for a first place win:
-Between checkpoints 3 and 4, the race enters a small town area. During the segment the track will curve to the right around a blown out barn. Stick to the left and just blow through the remains of it
-Immediately after checkpoint 15 take a sharp left and jump over the rocks and down the cliffside. Make sure you aren't going to fast or you will go flying off completely out of control. This shortcut is critical because it takes of about 5 seconds and the AI will use it.
Chances are it will take a few times for you to learn the optimal racing line. There is a lot of debris on the track and it does get tight in a few spots. If I find I video soon I will add it ASAP. |
