Expert playthrough lowers the overall times for each medal and is a little more difficult than normal, but shouldn't be that much harder. It is near impossible to get platinum on each level so don't try for it. You can get past 75% without having any I have been told.
My final stats were:
2 platinum
9 gold
10 silver
2 bronze
There are three things that increase your percentage:
Better medals (higher the medal, higher the percentage)
Challenges/Unlockables (Seen in the main campaign menu)
Upgrades (More you buy the higher your percentage)
Tips:
Use Ironhide as much as possible, his attacks and health are the best, on the last mission use breakaway and just sniper the Fallen as it will kill him fast. Aim for his head.
Replay missions with Ironhide if he isn't possible the first time you do play them
Save Overdrive for occasions when you really need it.
I stress again, don't worry about getting the best possible medal if you can't, try to upgrade everything and unlock challenges first
I had to replay the last level after I hit 75% for it to unlock, so if it doesn't after the game saves just try again.
